As a school we will be teaching spelling through the 'No Nonsense' approach.

• Your child will develop their understanding of spellings, working on a range of strategies and looking for patterns, these will then support your child at home.

• Your child will learn a series of selected of words during a daily spelling lesson in school. These 5 words will then be brought home on a Friday for your child to practice further.

• Your child will then be tested on the 5 words on a Monday. They will also have some surprise words that follow the same pattern.
