Weekly spellings will be based on the spelling rule we have learnt during the week. The children will be given 10 spellings to learn at home and will also be tested on 2 further spellings during the weekly test.

On some occasions, the children will not be given any spellings to learn and will be tested on 10 random spellings. This is done to simulate the SATs test they will sit in May. The SATs spelling test they sit in May is not based on words from the spelling lists below - it is based on spelling rules learnt from Year 3 to Year 6.
